About Me
Hi, I am (Xiaochun) Sunny. I'm a licensed acupuncturist (member of the British Acupuncture Council), and I'm also a member of a group of professional Neijing Acupuncture practitioners.
I grew up in China, where traditional medicine and treatments have always been an important part of life. Since 1989, I had been a licenced nurse in China. From 1995 to 1997, I attended Shan Dong Medical University for professional nursing and scientific studies. I completed one of the modules in acupuncture and received a first-class nursing degree. I worked as a registered general nurse in China for more than 15 years. I worked at the Thoracic Surgery, Digestive Surgery, and Orthopedic Units throughout this time. While employed at the Digestive Surgery Department, electro-acupuncture was used to aid post-operative patients in their recovery.
I moved to the United Kingdom in 2008. I studied English while working as an orthopaedic and spinal ward health care assistant for the NHS. In 2015, I returned to China and completed a massage course at Bin Zhou Medical University. I gained a Massage Certificate that includes Tui Na, Remedial Massage, and Sports Massage, as well as Neuromuscular Techniques and Foot Massage.
Later in life, I followed my passion and enrolled in the International College of Oriental Medicine, where I learned traditional Chinese acupuncture. I eventually graduated and received my acupuncture degree from Greenwich University, and I am now a British Acupuncture Council-certified acupuncturist.
I love what I do, and it's my passion to help others feel better through acupuncture therapy and other forms of alternative medicine. It's incredibly rewarding to see patients feel better after treatment, knowing that you've had something to do with that change in their lives!

My Philosophy
As a licensed acupuncturist who believes that good health is not only the absence of disease but also the presence of wellness.
It's important to feel grounded and confident in your body's ability to heal itself. I believe acupuncture can help people achieve this by working with their bodies natural energy flow—or Qi—to restore balance, strength, and well-being. Acupuncture has been proven to have a tremendous healing effect on a variety of problems, such as back pain, migraine headaches, stomach ailments, anxiety and depression. It can also be used in conjunction with other treatments such as medication or surgery.
My clinics(Haywards Heath, Worthing, and Brighton&Hove) are tranquil environments where I can provide my patients with the best care possible using my knowledge and experience to help them get out of their problems and heal their illnesses.
